In winter, Oppdal is a popular resort for alpine skiers. The mountains around us are an eldorado for ski tours. It is a short distance to Oppdal Ski Resort, only 2 kilometers - both hiking trails and alpine skiing. Oppdal is also known for having many different activities and events.
Just south of Oppdal lies Dovre National Park, especially well known for the musk deer that live here. In season it is possible to arrange trips via "Oppdal safari". To the west of us we have Trollheimen with its fantastic mountains and beautiful nature. And in Gjevilvassdalen you will find the fantastic beach Rauøra. You can find many hiking trails in the surrounding area.
